District VII Olympic Development Program Identification Process
Starting
in the 2011/2012 seasonal year, District 7 will be implementing a
new process for identifying District players that will be invited to
attend the State ODP tryouts. This selection process will send our
very best players to the State ODP ID in September and October,
ending with the ODP Championship Training in December. District 7
will rely on the use of a comprehensive player scouting system to
identify the top players in District 7.
This
new identification process will allow Club/League Coaching
Directors, Club Technical Directors, Team Coaches, and Opposing Team
Coaches to recommend players using an on-line recommendation form.
This same form can be picked up at the District 7 office, which is
located at 4285 N. First, Fresno
Ca. 93726.
These
recommended players will then be evaluated by a District 7 ODP ID
Staff. From this pool, players will then be invited to attend the
State ODP ID in September and October. There will be no cost to the
player at the District level.

District VII Olympic Development Program Information
The
Olympic Development Program is a national process for identifying and
developing highly talented male and female youth soccer players. The
District ODP pools train for the "District Play Days" held in
September and October on non-tournament Sundays, when no league games are
scheduled. Once a player has made the District Pool, an additional fee
will be assessed to each player that attends play days. Each player that
is selected for a District team will receive a white T-shirt and a royal
blue T-shirt that will be used at all of the "District Play Days".
